MCU has its own way of milking legitimate franchises for good. And while the Cinematic Universe still has an official way of doing things, fans however can never keep their calm. They have a tendency to get carried along with the slightest of rumors that ever existed. Similar is what happened two years back when eminent director Taika Waititi and Hollywood A-lister Ryan Gosling went on for lunch together. 

At least 15 seconds went by after the photo surfaced of Taika Waititi meeting with Ryan Gosling before the theory of an upcoming collaboration started to get out. Reports had it that he was clearly meeting for another Thor or a major MCU blockbuster. However, nothing as such happened in reality. But spectators had some really strong words going out that created a stir among the fans.

Following the meetup between Waititi and Golsing, Comicbook, the major source of all Marvel updates and sneak peeks, released a statement saying “…Gosling could be joining the upcoming Marvel Studios movie.” As it is, the Marvel Cinematic Universe never runs short of Hollywood bigwigs joining the cast. Hence, after Kevin Feige, the President of MCU, insisted on finding a place for Gosling, this kind of manifested the news.

However, the same report claimed that the details of the project still have no official mention. In fact, records have it the star has met with Marvel studios multiple times in the past that did not end up panning out. Nevertheless, Marvel’s Cinematic Universe is on the verge of becoming a multiverse of its own. The franchise has been kicking off with full spirit after a temporary setback in the recent past. 

As it is gaining back its stature once again, various stars have expressed their willingness to be a part of this universe. Ryan Gosling was no exception, either. The star had recently confessed how he would love to play GhostRider in the MCU. His wish, until this July, was just another celebrity rumor floating around aimlessly in the air. Nevertheless, it has finally caught the attention of the MCU President, Kevin Feige.
