After a series of hit shows and movies in the theaters, the Marvel Cinematic Universe previously made its way to the streaming platform with its show, Eternals, on January 12, 2022. The show featured a huge ensemble of talented actors, including Harry Styles and Angelina Jolie. And previously, one of the actors from the cast, Kumail Nanjiani, revealed how he prepared for the role where in he gave credit to Will Smith as well.

How Will Smith inspired Kumail Nanjiani for his role in Eternals?

Will Smith is an incredibly influential actor. Irrespective of the controversies that surround him, one cannot ignore Smith’s contribution to cinema. Recently, the Eternals fame Kumail Nanjiani revealed how he studied various actors, including Will Smith, while he was preparing for his role as Kingo. The Pakistani actor spoke, “And I watched a bunch of iconic movie stars in their iconic roles. Robert Redford, Paul Newman, Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Denzel, etc. to try and see what it is about these guys that makes them movie stars.”

Nanjiani revealed how all these actors leave an impact on the role rather than disappearing into it. Elsewhere, the Stuber actor admitted that he even loves Indian actors like Hrithik Roshan and grew up watching Bollywood films. Eternals was a very different movie in comparison to other Marvel films. The sci-fi project received mixed reviews from the audience. However, Kumail’s performance as Kingo received a lot of praise.
