The decision of Henry Cavill stepping away from Superman has been tough, for both the actor and his fans. While the fans are still shocked over Cavill’s sudden exit from the DCEU, they have another comic book character’s role in mind for the British actor to star in. Time and again, Cavill fans have demanded the actor make an appearance in the MCU. Furthermore, the fans suggested several roles, including Captain Britain, for the actor to make his debut as. However, what seemed like a mere wish from the fans might just happen somewhere in the future.

The rumors of Cavill’s MCU debut had sparked again since the actor’s exit from the DC Extended Universe. And apparently, Cavill could not escape the rumors either. In conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, the British actor shed some light on his Marvel debut rumors. Cavill spoke, “I have the internet, and I have seen the various rumors about Captain Britain and that would be loads of fun to do.”

However, Cavill added how the modernized version of the character surely interested him. Meanwhile, the actor even drew parallels with Chris Evans’ Captain America while describing Captain Britain. Moreover, the actor also revealed that he would not play a character that an actor has already played.

Why the British actor might be a perfect fit for the role of Captain Britain?

The choice of character is apt considering the fact that Cavill and the character share similar roots. Furthermore, Brian Braddock would be a fit for Cavill since the character is well aware of British culture and heritage. Considering that Cavill is very experienced in the comic book genre, it would be exciting to see the actor take up a new challenge. As of late, Cavill is working on his Warhammer 40k series.
