Henry Cavill Teases an Exciting ‘Mission: Impossible’ Connection for ‘The Witcher’ Season 3- “What I can tell you is…”
Fans are all hyped up after the third season of The Witcher was announced at the Netflix Tudum event. The second season of the show was released almost a year ago. The video game-based show has developed a worldwide fanbase with its amazing storyline and apt star cast. The video game was followed by The Witcher book series, which was as popular as the game. Hence, the streaming giant, which is considered very picky about its selection of shows, renewed the next season of The Witcher. However, a strange turn in events has been noted as season 3 of the show began production. Recently, the lead of the show, Henry Cavill, appeared on a podcast, where he revealed a strange connection between The Witcher and the Mission Impossible film series.
Cavill, who plays Geralt in the show, appeared on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast a few days ago. How is Henry Cavill connecting The Witcher and Mission Impossible?
The 39-year-old actor was very tight-lipped when it came to the revelation about the show. However, he did drop something that might interest the action-loving fans of the show. Henry himself was a Mission Impossible alumnus. He worked on one of the franchises of the series, Mission Impossible: Fallout, in 2018. However, even though being a common link between them, he is not the connection. The common link that he spoke about is a stunt coordinator from the Mission: Impossible movies.

Cavill said, “What I can tell you is that I was working with Wolfgang Stegemann again, you will know his work from Mission: Impossible.” So now we know that the stuntman, Wolfgang Stegemann is the one coordinating the action-packed season 3 of The Witcher. While mentioning Stegemann, Henry called him “an extraordinary stunt coordinator” and “a close friend”. Cavill mentioned that Stegemann is working on the third season, so viewers should anticipate plenty of action.
All in all, Henry Cavill thinks Wolfgang was the best choice for directing the action-packed scenes of the third season of the show. It is hard to disagree with him as we have all witnessed the astounding Mission Impossible stunt sequences.
