The story behind Henry Cavill and his role as The Witcher

Henry had good knowledge of the characters and storyline of The Witcher owing to his fascination with geek gaming. No sooner did he learn about the development of the adaptation than he decided to name the role his own. The showrunner of the show, Lauren Schmidt, felt all of it was a bit too early. Hence, she revealed that his continuously persuasive personality sometimes felt annoying. According to reports, this was the apparent reason the crew turned down Henry at first.

However, when the production of the show started with over two hundred actors auditioning for the role, Laura got back to Cavill. She could not get rid of his voice that was stuck in her head for the role for a long time and the rest is history. Henry immediately got the part that he had been pressing on for so long.
