Will Henry Cavill be in the next Van Helsing movie? The actor has already had his hands full with projects. Cavill has proved to be a king of periodic action shows and movies. He got his big break with Man of Steel, wherein he successfully managed to bring Superman onto the big screen.

Thereon, he went on to lead in The Witcher, making it one of Netflix’s most-watched series. However, he recently made a shocking announcement about leaving the show. The 39-year-old has his hands full with various other projects, and one of them is speculated to be the vampire hunter movie, Van Helsing.

Will we be seeing Henry Cavill doing another fantasy film, Van Helsing?

Henry Cavill is leading one fantasy film after another. The actor’s announcement of Man of Steel 2 and exit from The Witcher has marked a curve in his career, as he comes back to his original, most known character of Superman. But now, news of him being in the next Van Helsing movie is also surfacing. A source says that he is still in talks about the role. If confirmed, Cavill would be replacing Hugh Jackman, who played the part previously. It may come as a bit of relief for fans who are disappointed over Cavill leaving The Witcher. 

The 2004 Van Helsing starred Jackman, although the movie was not a very big success. But it was entertaining, and with Cavill’s return, it could have a darker aura to it. DC has high hopes from the actor after the success of Man of Steel. While Black Adam failed to capture the magic on the big screen, Cavill’s Superman sequel, added with Van Helsing, could help them compete with Marvel in the growing competition.

DC plans to explore their fantasy world and concentrate on a franchise, and will probably do the same with Van Helsing. The gothic horror film revolves around a Dutch monster hunter as opposed to Cavill’s monster hunting role of Geralt of Rivia.
