2022 has been a heartbreaking year for Henry Cavill and his fans. The actor was approved for the next Superman film, but after plenty of ups and downs, DCU finally dropped him. Moreover, he left his signature Netflix series, The Witcher, and was replaced by Liam Hemsworth.

Well, the British hunk does not seem to be the only one who is facing rejection. Allegedly, someone from his past is going through the same phase. It is none other than his ex-girlfriend Gina Carano, whom luck does not seem to support much either.

Gina Carano, apart from being an actor, is also a former mixed martial artist. This explains the kind of films she has done in her career, including Fast & Furious 6 (2013), In the Blood (2014), Extraction (2015), Daughter of the Wolf (2019), and many more. But the role that gained her the most popularity was that of Cara Dune in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian (Star Wars galaxy). This show is based on the timeless Star Wars stories by George Lucas. It was first released in the year 2019 and season three will kick in March 2023.

However, Carano will not be returning in season 3 of the show. Disney fired her because of her statements on a variety of political matters. Not just that, according to Fandom Wire, her talent agency UTA (United Talent Agency) also dropped her as a client.

The worst part is that after she was fired from the series, her film Terror on the Prairie, which was released last year, earned only $804 at the box office. This film was exclusively premiered at The Daily Wire but did not get the viewership as expected.

However, neither controversies nor flop films are the case with Henry Cavill, but in the end, both the ex-lovers do not have any major project in hand at the moment. The Man of Steel star and Gina Carano started dating in the year 2012. After lots of bumps, the couple finally got separated in the year 2015. Cavill is dating Natalie Viscuso at the moment whereas Carano is in a serious relationship with Kevin Ross.
