Henry Cavill left The Witcher series just a month ago. And fans made their disappointment very clear. The production quickly bringing in Liam Hemsworth did nothing to ease the anger. While fans took the moment to express their disdain, many have made it clear from the beginning that Cavill is the reason they are watching the show.

The sheer perfection with which he played the Geralt will forever be priceless for the fans of the franchise. But much like anything on the Internet, the infamous Cavill exit has two narratives. One being evidently more popular than the other. And for all the right reasons.

It was made very clear through the announcement that Cavill has CHOSEN to leave the fantasy series. However, the announcement failed to clarify why the actor had abruptly decided to leave. But given how he had just made known his Superman return, fans joined the dot. Unfortunately, DC’s new in charge do not have a place for Henry Cavill in their universe.  Now Cavill was at a loss of not one but two major products, and people began to talk. And by people, we only mean the host of Spotify’s Deux U podcast.

A leaked transcript of an episode from the podcast has been making the rounds. With its contents entailing Cavill’s alleged misogynistic tendencies, over-controlling nature, and last but not the least “video games bro language”, the transcript has everything on paper to tarnish an actor’s image. However, if the actor is a blue-eyed Henry Cavill who has devoted most of his career to playing fictional characters with perfection, the audience stops scrolling, rereads, and trashes the transcript in favor of supporting the actor.

Fans come out in support of Henry Cavill

On closer inspection of the very juicy transcript, one may get the idea that it is a very badly written Wattpad novel. Moreover, at no point does it mention any official sources or credible reports.

Despite the vague allegations and no shreds of evidence, the glaring error that it is a clear give away of the false information in the transcript is “video game bro language.” This leaked transcript has proven more than anything else why we cant have nice things.

Because Henry Cavill is an actor whose hunger for knowledge and art, be it through video games or books, simply shine through.

Let us not forget how his eloquent speaking and understanding of the craft, is the very reason The Witcher became the known series it is today. Not only Cavill’s fans but regular spectators as well have not held back in fact-checking the transcript.
