As soon as Netflix announced that the mega-popular webcomic Heartstopper is getting adapted, fans have been clamoring for more information about the show. The young adult series is based on Alice Oseman’s webtoon of the same name. Although the release date is almost a month away, fans have already started speculating about the series and the end.
Most of them are worried that the show is going to end on a cliffhanger since such is the case with most of the series on the platform. But the author has taken it upon herself to clear the air and drive away fans’ fears.

Although the fans’ fears are justified, one fan hilariously tweeted that she doesn’t even know how the comic ends yet she’s stressed. This is because the comic is still ongoing.
What to expect from the season?
The first season is going to be an eight-part series following the titular characters Nick and Charlie. While Kit Connor plays Nick, Joe Locke will essay the role of Charlie. Nick and Charlie are polar opposites. While Nick is a star rugby player at the all-boys grammar school, Charlie is more of a reserved, introspective thinker. But their worlds collide and they end up falling for each other. The show will highlight the turbulent years of adolescence and LGBTQ+ love. Other important characters from the comic will also make an appearance like Tori, Tao, Elle, Tara, and Darcy.
