And like always, Cavill had a hilarious memory of Cruise while filming the movie.

Likewise, the Enola Holmes star once shared an amusing story of Tom Cruise while they were filming a scene in Mission Impossible.

It seems like Top Gun is one of Tom Cruise’s favorite movies he has worked on. Wondering why? Well previously, during an interview with Fandango, Henry Cavill revealed a hilarious incident during the time he was filming Mission Impossible: Fallout with Tom Cruise. When asked about a fun Tom Cruise moment on sets, the British actor recalled the moment when they were flying in their helicopters after they finished working on the New Zealand portion.

Cavill continued, “We were flying in formation and sitting there with our headphones on and Tom started doing Top Gun quotes.”

Years later, BBC Radio1’s film critic Ali Plumb brought up the 2018 Cavill interview, asking Cruise about the quotes the actor whipped out from Top Gun during the Fallout shoot. The actor then revealed that he did not have any specific dialogue in mind and randomly started quoting some lines from the film. In the interview, Cruise revisited some very iconic lines from the film including, “How About I feel the need for speed” and “talk to me goose.”

A while ago, Cavill also spoke about how he felt different while filming Mission Impossible: Fallout after working on three Superman movies. Interestingly, working for the Mission Impossible franchise really put Cavill up for a challenge. Surprising as it sounds, the British actor even did most of his death defying action scenes without CGI.

Meanwhile, all the efforts by both the actors paid off. Mission Impossible: Fallout was the highest grossing film of the franchise. The action packed movie earned a massive $787.2 million worldwide as per Movie Web.
