Halsey Compares Adam Sandler’s Daughter’s Bat Mitzvah to Coachella Music Festival, Says She Was Surprised She Was Hired
The Without Me crooner Halsey recently made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Interestingly, on the show, she revealed that Hollywood actor Adam Sandler had booked her for his daughter’s Bat Mitzvah. The three-time Grammy winner also shared her love for the Hollywood icon and his movies.
Adam Sandler just recently appeared in Netflix’s Hustle along with real-time NBA star Juancho Hernangómez. The inspiring story follows a down-on-luck Philadelphia 76ers scout and local talent that caught his eye. The film has so far received mostly positive reviews.

Bat Mitzvah for his daughters
According to Halsey, “It was the craziest bat mitzvah I’ve ever seen in my life.” She exclaimed that it was like Coachella. Bat Mitzvah is a coming-of-age ceremony for kids that are twelve years old or older. It’s when they become adults and are free to practice Judaism as they please.
But she was still finding it hard to believe that they booked her to perform at the event. The singer is a longtime fan of the actor-comedian. For her, it was a “full circle” moment. They used to play his movies at home all the time. Halsey’s dad was a big fan of Happy Gilmore since he was also a golfer. So the very first sentence Halsey learned as a baby was, “Go home, ball.”

Halsey’s baby boy is her biggest critic
A new mother, Halsey had a funny story to share with her fans. Despite having millions of fans tuning into radio or Spotify, Halsey’s little one isn’t a fan of her voice. She explained how annoyed he’d get whenever she would sing something. But funnily enough, her mother, who can’t “hold a tune in a bucket” is his favorite singer in the world. Also, the singer-songwriter has just recently launched her own makeup brand, About-Face, and new single, So Good.
