What was at first considered to be a “run and gun” documentary for JLo’s 50th birthday turned out to be an entirely different thing in the end. The product at the end was a beautiful story that celebrated women at halftime. However, as per Goldsmith-Thomas, “Jennifer was extremely trepidatious and said to us more than a hundred times, ‘This may not see the light of day“. Halftime begins with a shot of Jennifer blowing candles on her 50th birthday, signifying that there is much more of her life’s story that is to be written and explored.
