Apart from being one of the most successful musicians, the ever talented Taylor Swift is also a great director. The You Belong With Me star even made her directorial debut. And recently, her filmmaking skills got the seal of approval from legendary director Guillermo del Toro.

Guillermo del Toro is one of the most popular film directors in Hollywood who has given some of the finest films. Some of the Mexican director’s works include Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Pacific Rim, and The Shape of Water. As of late, we all know that the rumors of Taylor Swift making a directorial debut have been floating around. And amidst such rumors, Del Toro had a few things to say about the Lover hit maker.

Previously, Swift revealed how she would love to trade places with Del Toro for a day. In response to that, The Shape of Water director confessed that he had met the singer, and how “She’s a very accomplished director, she’s incredibly articulate and deep about what she’s trying to do—and what she will do. I have the greatest admiration for her; we had one of the most stimulating and gratifying conversations.”
If the recent reports are to be believed, the singer will be making her directorial debut through the renowned studio, Searchlight Pictures. Some of the popular works by Searchlight Pictures include Nomadland and The Shape of Water, so it would surely be exciting to see her make her mark in the director’s chair. The singer previously won two best direction awards for All Too Well: The Short Film and The Man music video during the MTV VMAs.
