‘Grace and Frankie’ Stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin Revisit Classical Hollywood and Share Fascinating Secrets Involving Timothee Chalamet and Brad Pitt
Grace and Frankie was an unbelievable tie between two old ladies and viewers of all age groups. Suspected to not sit well with the audience because of the generation gap; the show’s take off after it streamed wasn’t surprising for the makers. Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin is known to all for their acting, but Marta Kauffman’s eye received appreciation when the actresses’ acting skills shone through after not facing the camera for long. The show ran successfully for seven long seasons but fans aren’t very thrilled with the discontinuation.

Following the end of of the final season, Netflix put out a ‘Screen Test’ video of Grace and Frankie where they went back to the old days as they answered to some of the pointers regarding classic Hollywood. Check out the video:

Some of the topics of the chat were, the movie you know every single line to, your first movie crush, the movie you wish you were in, etc. One of the topics was, three actors you would invite for dinner. To which Jane said she’d invite “Brad Pitt, Channing Tatum, but he’s with Zoë Kravitz you know, so he wouldn’t come. And Timothee Chalamet, I’ve got good taste“. Lily was quick to make fun saying, “I don’t know if I’d invite three actors over for dinner, they have such bad eating habits.

Jane Fonda and Lily are 84 and 82 respectively. Fonda holds an array of awards under her belt including seven Golden Globe Awards and a Primetime Emmy award. She enjoyed wide spread fame throughout her life after stunning people with works like Barbarella, Barefoot in the Park, and Klute.
Lily Tomlin came to be known after her role in the comedy series Rowan and Matin’s Laugh-In. Since then, she was noticed for her quick-wittedness and casual banter.

Both the actresses were then cast in the film 9 to 5, which was the start of their friendship. Cut-to 35 years later, they were cast together as Grace and Frankie. They even included their 9 to 5 co-star and pop icon Dolly Parton in the final episode as the perfect reunion to the finish.

Grace and Frankie is about two women whose rivalry changes into friendship once they find out their husbands are in love with each other and want to get married. The show is more appealing than most sitcoms because it’s candid like Kauffman’s ‘FRIENDS’ and makes the viewers feel comfortable and homely. Yet, it’s guilt free.
