More sex, more drugs, more violence! The maniac, mystery-fueled mother-daughter drama, Ginny and Georgia is back with its addictive and soapy season 2. And it seems like they are already successful at keeping the fans glued to the edge of their seats. For those who are not as acquainted with the comedy-drama as they are with Netflix’s recording-breaking series Wednesday, after years of run, Georgia brings her family to London in the hope to provide them with something they never had: a normal life.

While its first season debuted back in 2021, Netflix released the much anticipated season 2 of the drama some two weeks earlier, and we ought to say it- the more violent and witty version of Gilmore Girls is making quite some noise. Although the brand-new season may not be as popular as Tim Burton’s rendition of The Addams Family, it has enough audience to help the mother-daughter duo surpass the major record set and held by Wednesday for over six weeks.

Yes, it is true! Wednesday’s reign finally comes to a close end. Ginny and Georgia now rule the OTT platform as they overtook the much-popular, already renewed for season 2, comedy-horror drama. According to the streaming giant’s in-house tracking, the viewing hours of the Antonia Gentry starrer exceeded the viewing hours of Netflix’s then-top show within the time period of January 2 to January 8. Notably, it is not the only show to steal the affair of Wednesday Addams. Yet another Netflix Original, Kaleidoscope- a fictional telltale of a $7 billion heist- grabbed the second most spot, as reported by Screenrant.

As a result, the series which was at the number-one spot for six consecutive weeks is now pushed back to number three with Emily in Paris season 3 grabbing the fourth spot. Now you might feel Ginny and Georgia to be a rather odd show to be the streaming service’s most-viewed series of the week. But it could be because the OTT platform has canceled a lot of series because of its odd policy lately. And hence, fans might be curious to know what according to Netflix is a renew-worthy series.
