After a wild ride that season 1 of Ginny and Georgia was, fans are waiting a long time, for a season 2 of all the chaos and drama. Ginny and Georgia live more like friends, than mother and daughter. As Georgia says in season 1, “We’re like the Gilmore Girls, but with bigger boobs.” That’s true for sure; their chemistry is worth watching.

Ginny and Georgia Premise

Ginny and Georgia is a comedy-drama television series on Netflix by Sarah Lampert, starring Brianne Howey, Antonia Gentry, and Diesel La Torraca. The television series explores Georgia, a single mother with two kids, Ginny, her teenage daughter, and Austin, her nine-year-old son. After the death of Georgia’s second husband, the family moves out of Texas to start their life freshly. Along with fun, comedy, and drama, the show explores themes like murder, love triangles, embezzlement, self-harm, sexual consent, female pleasure, and body image.

Season 1 ended in a cliffhanger, where Ginny and Austin ran away from their mother, while Georgia has no clue about them. Certainly, that leaves room for a season 2. However, is Ginny and Georgia coming back for another season? Let’s find out.

Ginny and Georgia season 2 release date

Season 1 of Ginny and Georgia released on February 24th, 2021, with 10 episodes. The show has attracted 52 million households in the first 28 days. Just after two months, Netflix officially confirmed that the show is returning for season 2 on April 19th, 2022.

The crew has even begun filming from November 2021. So, we can expect the show will be out in mid 2022.

Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller and Antonia Gentry as Ginny Miller will obviously lead the show. The other cast will probably include:

What will happen in Season 2?

As some of the major life events of Georgia are opening up, we can see the show take a dark turn. Season 2 will likely start when things were left off in season 1. Georgia, who was enjoying her fiancé Mayor Paul’s re-election, unknown to her children running away from home.

So, in the next season we will see Georgia getting know the fact and for the teens to make their next move. We may also see a second round of Zion and Georgia even through the latter is engaged to Paul because the two do have sparks left. There’s also the romantic drama between Ginny, Marcus, and Hunter.

Will Ginny get back to her old friend’s group? Who will Ginny choose, Marcus or Hunter?
