From ‘Wednesday’ to ‘Beef’, Here Are All the Emmy Nominations That Added Stars to Netflix
Among the list of award shows that celebrate cinema, Emmy is the definition of television excellence. This is why, reminiscent of its name, the Primetime Emmy Award, actors and streamers that have contributed to television consider receiving one as the prime time of their careers. Given the plethora of projects released, especially since streaming services took over, the competition is cut-throat. But Netflix has overcome all odds to emerge a top runner with over 103 of its projects and curators being nominated.
While there has been a drop since last year, the quality over quantity might just benefit the OTT mogul as it presented only its very best for the Emmys 2023. Here is the list of the most nominated Netflix shows at the Emmy 2023.

1) Beef- The Meatiest Netflix Show at Emmy 2023
The limited series found itself in the overall top runners of the Emmy 2023. Directed by Lee Sung Jin, whose most popular credit is Thunderbolts, Beef came close to touching the scorching sun with its comedic yet eye-opening screenplay. Earlier this year, the OTT mogul raised many eyebrows as it presented the series as a limited or anthology series to Emmy rather than its more obvious theme, comedy.
The trick seems to have worked like a charm, as it is one of the most-voted nominees in the category. Moreover, the lead actors Ali Wong and Steven Yeun have also bagged a nomination in the Best Actor and Actress category for a limited series.
Lee Sung Jin himself has bagged double nominations for writing and directing the series. Overall, Beef with its 13 nominations has proven to be the meatiest Netflix show at the Emmy 2023.
2) Dahmer-Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story
It comes as no shock that the series which created a ruckus globally is nominated for an Emmy award. As it takes us through the killings of Jeffrey Dahmer, the Netflix series left no gruesome detail untouched in its storytelling. Much like Beef, Dahmer-Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story has 13 nominations.
Depicting the life of a serial killer, the performances are so perfect to the point they are horrifying. And this is just how Evan Peters has earned himself a nomination in the Best Actor for a limited series category. It is ironic, however, that Netflix’s strongest soldiers will have to fight each other to take home the Primetime Emmy Award.
3) Wednesday- Netflix’s brightest child at Emmy 2023
Riding on the coattails of The Addams Family, this Netflix series intertwined the best of both worlds as it followed Morticia Addams’ daughter Wednesday Addams to her high school. What unfolds is a grueling mystery packed with supernatural forces and high school geniuses as they search among themselves to find the real monster. Wednesday has earned 12 Emmy Nominations this year.
The nominations, combined with its viewership, testify to why it has been crowned Netflix’s most popular series. Among the 12 nominations, the series has earned one in the outstanding comedy series category. However, it is Jena Ortega’s Best Actress in a comedy series nomination, making her the youngest Latina to bag the honor that is the highlight.
Tim Burton too sees a first Emmy nomination with Wednesday. Hence proving Wednesday’s child is full of woe but also Emmy nominations.
4) The Crown
It was in 2021 that Netflix’s The Crown won all seven major drama categories and etched its brilliance into our memory. This year the series has bagged six nominations, the most important being the outstanding drama category. It is the second last season of The Crown that has received this honor.
Created by Peter Morgan, the show provides a peak into the regal lives and trials of the British royal family unlike ever witnessed before. The season ended up causing quite a wave as it covered some of the most controversial moments of the royal family.
