From Fake FBI Agent To DC Anti-Hero, How The Rock transitioned From John Hartley To Black Adam: “I was born to play…”
The Fast & Furious megastar Dwayne Johnson has owned varied characters throughout his career span. His last appearance was in the crime thriller Red Notice, starring alongside Gal Godot and Ryan Reynolds, as a sham FBI agent. He has always been an adaptive actor who molds himself depending on the attributes of the role. Dwayne’s exemplary talent is proof that he is treasured by Hollywood fans. All the praise goes to his enthralling looks and peerless action that viewers will soon get to see again in the upcoming superhero film based on DC Comics, Black Adam.
The Rock sculpted a new image of him by playing the super villain ‘Black Adam’

This is not Dwayne Johnson’s first time playing a gray-shade character. He has played the crooked role of John Hartley in Red Notice, a fake FBI Agent who shakes hands with the world’s greatest art thief Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) to capture the most wanted criminal The Bishop (Gal Godot). But Black Adam is a complete transformation as viewers have definitely never seen him in this avatar before.
Dwayne Johnson was foresighted as Black Adam since before he played other great roles
Johnson’s role as Black Adam was decided even before the audiences knew as he was somehow attached to Shazam from the beginning. The producers were decisive since 2014 that only Dwayne can delineate this compelling story of a wicked anti-hero.
The Rock recently posted on his Twitter account the first glimpse of Black Adam. He called his character a brutal and uncompromising force who has no limits.
