For the Fans of DARK, Netflix Brings a New Spanish Fantasy Thriller, FERIA: The Darkest Light

Netflix is becoming the king of thrilling and horror shows and movies from all around the world. The streaming company has recently released the first official trailer of a brand new Spanish series, known as Feria: The Darkest Light. Originally titled Feria: La Luz mas oscura, Feria: The Darkest Light is a terrifying horror-thriller series by Agustín Martínez and Carlos Montero.

The plot develops around two sisters with monster parents, who have just unveiled this shocking secret. The two sisters, Eva and Sofia, would be confronted with the horrific crime that their parents have appeared to have perpetrated before vanishing, leaving 33 victims. Now one of the most important questions arises: how will the two teenage sisters survive?

Feria: The Darkest Light: Release date

The Spanish series, Feria: The Darkest Light, will hit Netflix on January 28th, 2022. The filming and production of the show started back in November 2020 and wrapped up in March 2021. Feria: The Darkest Light comprises 8 episodes, with a running time of 50 minutes per episode.

The series stars Marta Neito, who received the Forque Award for Best Actress. The cast also includes-

The official synopsis of the Spanish series by Netflix is- “What if two teenage sisters discover that their parents are murderers?

Eva and Sofia will have to face the horrible crime that their parents seem to have committed, which, before disappearing, has left behind 23 victims. This is the journey that Eva and Sofia will undertake in Feria, a small white village in the Andalusian mountains in the mid-nineties, where the inhabitants are not as naïve as they appear. Where reality hides a fantastic universe.”

The horror show is set in the middle of the 1990s in a small white town in the Andalusian mountains. However, the residents of the Andalusian mountains are not as innocent as they appear.

The creators Agustín Martínez and Carlos Montero of the show, explained the show, “You are 17 years old, you live in Andalusia in the ’90s and one day your sister and you discover that your parents have been accused of killing more than twenty people. They have disappeared and left us alone facing an entire town who are asking for justice and revenge. Thus begins this story in which there is also a sect, grunge music, some fantastic creatures, the Andalusia sun, and a mine that looks like a labyrinth. All of these and much more are Feria.“
