Fans and celebrities alike have admired the musical talent of Kanye West. The ‘Donda’ singer has certainly lost on a few allies since his controversial statements. But the younger Ye loved collaborating and sharing his talents with fellow rappers. Singer Pharrell Williams was also one of these rappers. He was one of the few people in the industry who admired the earliest works of West and predicated his rise. One particular song even left him speechless after knowing the story behind it.

Hip Hop Hall of Fame posted a throwback video of the two artists hearing the song, ‘Through the Wire’, together. The lyrics of the song go, “Through the fire, to the limit, to the wall, for a chance to be with you.” In the short video, Williams could be seen grooving and vibing to the song along with Ye as he carefully listened to the lyrics and beat. He apparently walked out of the room for a few minutes after being moved by the song and story behind it.
