The sequel that is being made nearly a decade after the original 2013 flick has a lot of weight on its shoulders. After all, DC is competing with Marvel by digging out its own characters from the superhero universe.

The main antagonist in Man of Steel was General Dru-Zod, whose villainous crusades were faced with Superman’s might. It is essential that the newest supervillain matches the expectations. Now Man of Steel 2 is still in its early stages, with the casting team still unfilled. But that has not stopped fans from speculating their own ideas. In the latest, a fan chooses this actor from The Guys, and it is not Homelander.

Fan speculations often keep up the excitement of an upcoming project, keeping them invested in the plot. While the cast of Man of Steel 2 is being selected, there has been speculation that Henry Cavill could be fighting The Boys actor. In an Instagram post, artist Skull101ify posted his idea of what the newest antagonist could look like. The artist gave Brainiac the voice of The Boys actor Giancarlo Esposito.

The actor plays Dr. Edgar in the action fiction series and is known for his roles in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Maze Runner, etc. The post has a still photo of Brainiac with Esposito’s voice. Now, Brainiac was considered a potential villain for Man of Steel 2 by Zack Snyder as well. Although the director for a sequel has not been announced yet, DC studios head James Gunn is a top contender for it.

When Henry Cavill appeared in the post-credits of Black Adam, it marked the beginning of his return. Since the Dwayne Johnson movie did not make as big as expected, a lot is riding for DC with Man of Steel 2 now. The movie has a lot of confirmations to make and has no set release date yet.
