Fans Have A Loving Reaction to Ncuti Gatwa Heading ‘Doctor Who’
If the blockbuster James Bond franchise were instead a television show that had to maintain its intrigue for more than a decade, it would be Doctor Who. We would go as far as to call it the Top Gun franchise, but that would not explain the change in the Doctor’s face now and then. Given how it is a perfect blend of everything, there is only one thing that the show in all its entirety would despise if it were to replace the ‘Who’ and that is antique. This is why, for its new season, the creators have tapped a star from Netflix’s globally acclaimed series Sex Education, Ncuti Gatwa.
While each actor in the high school series excels in a way that can only be termed unparalleled, it is Ncuti Gatwa’s performance that has everyone’s jaw on the floor. Now, more so than before, as he gets into his 80s attire to play the Doctor on BBC’s trademark mystery extravaganza Doctor Who.

The news about his casting may have only been confirmed now, yet the rumors have been there for a long time. The 30-year-old actor’s upcoming projects look nothing less than a sky of stars as it boasts of the acclaimed BBC series and also Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.
As Sex Education reaches its finale, Gatwa is taking the medical knowledge to the BBC. While the season following the 15th Doctor on his adventure will commence only in 2024, Ncuti Gatwa is all set up for a preview appearance in the anticipated special.
The news of Sex Education‘s Eric brings more than just a casting announcement for the avid fans of the show who could not be more excited.
Fans react to Ncuti Gatwa’s casting in Doctor Who
As Ncuti Gatwa gets announced as the 15th Doctor, it is almost impossible to spot a brooding fan. The actor has convinced fans of his acting prowess in Sex Education and they cannot wait to see him in a completely different avatar.
While Gatwa is basking in praises, the announcement has made way for a very special comeback. Not of an actor, but the iconic Doctor Who catchphrase “Stetsons are cool” as the 15th Doctor seems to believe so as well.

Much of what is to unfold is kept under wraps, but fans have gathered through the styling that it is going to be reminiscent of the 11 Doctor, Matt Smith. One fan even replicated the outfit as they wrote ‘The things I do for this show’ as the others could not stop expressing their excitement about Ncuti Gatwa’s casting.
