Fans Are Thrilled About the Surprise ‘Lord of the Rings’ Is Bringing in April

The Lord of the Rings film series is known for bringing its cult followers surprises in unique ways. And this time the film’s makers have brought a special gift for their fans from all over the world. About 20 years ago, in 2003, LOTR: Return of the King hit theaters and became widely popular among the fans.

On its twentieth anniversary, the makers of Lord of the Rings: Return of the King are bringing an extended version of the film exclusively for a day in April. The film was already three hours and twenty-one minutes long, and now the extended version of it will be four hours and eleven minutes long.

The film adaptation of the fantasy novel series of the same name by J. R. R. Tolkien began in the early 2000s. A lot of Gen Z people caught up with this fantastic film series much later in their lives. This is a golden chance for them to witness this cinematic marvel in theaters in April.

The only catch in the news of this extended version’s theatrical release is that it is going to be in the theaters just for a limited time. According to Nerdist, the film will hit the theaters on April 13, although it will be shown in as many theaters as possible.

Up to now, the original version of the film was available to stream for fans, but this will be the first time that the extended version comes out. This fantasy adventure includes superstars such as Elijah Woods, Karl Urban, Sean Astin, Ian McKellen, and Viggo Mortensen as its cast members.
