EXPLAINED: The Lincoln Lawyer, Mickey Haller’s Relationships in the Michael Connelly Universe
The Lincoln Lawyer is currently one of the most popular shows on Netflix, treading right behind the final season of Ozark. Right after a week of its release, the show is certainly making headlines. While it has many an element of a cliche court drama, it is far from one. But, as is a telltale sign of all legal dramas, the series has a great number of characters whose lives are entangled in some very confusing ways.
Here’s a run-down of all major characters from The Lincoln Lawyer and their respective relationships with Mickey Haller
Maggie McPherson (Neve Campbell)

First ex-wife
After Mickey (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) himself, the next major role in the Netflix Original is that of Maggie McPherson. She is Mickey’s first ex-wife and the mother of his daughter. Apart from her role in Haller’s personal life, Maggie also holds the title of deputy district attorney.
Lorna Shore (Becki Newton)
Second ex-wife
If there is one person who knows how to keep their exes close, it is Mickey Haller. Not only is he on good terms with his first ex-wife, but his second wife in fact works with him. While Lorna is engaged to another man (the private investigator) now, she works as a sort of paralegal for Mickey.
Hayley Haller (Krista Warner)
Daughter
Being the daughter of two very smart people, Maggie and Mickey, Hayler certainly has inherited the brains. As she manages her tween life, she is also constantly noticing and questioning the work her father does.
Dennis “Cisco” Wojciechowski (Angus Sampson)
The private investigator
A parallel of the scene we saw between Maggie and Lorna and their initial meeting would be the one where Mickey brings in Cisco. Cisco is a warm man with deceiving looks who doesn’t seem like he was part of a biker gang. He used his clean criminal record to make a career for himself as a private investigator.
Izzy Letts (Jazz Raycole)

The chauffeur
The title of the Netflix series and the nickname of the main character comes from the fact that travels across Los Angeles in the backseat of his Lincoln car. After he wins a case in favor of Izzy Letts, who does not have the means to pay him back, Mickey agrees to make her his chauffeur as payback.
