Actress Becki Newton was able to live out this fantasy as she worked with Neve Campbell in Netflix&#8217;s latest courtroom drama, The Lincoln Lawyer. Newton described working with the 90s heartthrob as one of her &#8220;favorite days of filming&#8220;, which says a lot by itself.

Neve Campbell was the Scarlett Johansson of the 90s. The Canadian actress has worked in many thriller and horror films, earning her the title of &#8220;scream queen&#8220;. In a world where women are often pitted against each other or made to appear hostile, Campbell made it very clear that she wanted both her and Newton&#8217;s characters to be more than that. According to Newton, &#8220;Neve right away said to the director, &#8216;I don&#8217;t want this to be about two women bitching with each other. I want this to be about two women who are trying to help Mickey.'&#8221; She added that Cambell &#8220;wanted it to be more complex than that and smarter than that.&#8221;

We certainly are fans of Campbell&#8217;s suggestions. Not only did her decision make the characters of the <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/category/news">Netflix</a> series appear more complex, but also made the story seem more serious and grim. A catfight between these women would have undermined the actual issue of Mickey&#8217;s trial.
