What is it about action thrillers that always keep the audience hooked? Is it the set-up and reveal narrative style, the wonderfully choreographed fight sequences, or the intense and quotable dialogues? More often than not, it is a combination of all three. Dan Cade of Van Helsing fame was part of an action thriller, just like that, titled The Hard Way.

Directed by Keoni Waxman, The Hard Way stars Michael Jai White, Luke Goss, Randy Couture, and Madalina Anea in leading roles. Dan Cade, though a minor character, shares an intense action scene with the protagonist Michael Jai White. Dan Cade was excited to work with Keoni Waxman and Michael Jai White

In an exclusive conversation with NetflixJunkie, Dan Cade described his inspiring involvement with the Keoni Waxman film, The Hard Way. Cade was thrilled to work with Waxman, having followed his work. The director “worked with Segal quite a lot,” revealed Cade. He delves into the filmmaker’s process, saying Waxman “has obviously been doing it for a long time. He breaks up the fight sequences and films, each individual movement to make it look good for the camera.

Talking about Michael Jai White, Cade had only good things to say about the “pro” action star.He (White) knew how to keep a distance, control, and make it look good for the camera as well as different angles.” Dan Cade, being a Martial artist himself, was sure of his “ability regarding action.” White would also help Dan with his target so that he could “hit the right sort of angle as well for the frame.

Cade also had a great time “just hanging out with Michael Jai White.” They bonded over “old school action guys,” like Bruce Lee and Jean-Claude Van Damme. White even narrated his stories working with Van Damme, Steven Seagal, and others.
