The year 2023 gave major recognition to the French-British actress Emma Mackey. As the actress recently won the BAFTA for the Rising Star category, her fans would see her working alongside Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie in the upcoming Greta Gerwig movie, Barbie. Recently, the actress opened up about her experience of working with these A-listed actors and made a powerful statement about the film.

The Sex Education star recently revealed her feelings in an interview with The Standard. While talking about the upcoming film, Barbie, Mackey admitted her working with the blockbuster movie stars changed her perception of things. “It gave me hope again for cinema and making films,” said Mackey during The Standard interview, referring to the movie, Barbie.

While praising the environment of the set, she said everyone was there purely because they wanted to over anything else. They all wanted to make the director of the film, Greta Gerwig, happy.

The 27-year-old actress admitted her ignorance about how the final cut of the film would turn out. But the actress said she was waiting to see how the viewers would react to it. While expressing her excitement about the film, she also said the film would be a wonderful celebration of cinema. As the actress talked about her experience of working with these stars, she also revealed everyone around her was caring and loving. She specifically admired working with Margot Robbie, and she had a reason for it, too.

The Suicide Squad star is not only starring as the lead in the film but also is a producer. Therefore, the Emily star said she admired Robbie’s art of multitasking. Mackey admired how easily Robbie would manage the dance rehearsals, along with the meetings and costume fitting and so on. The 27-year-old actress was stunned to see Robbie completely in her element.

She also admitted she was still learning to do what the Focus star was going. However, she learned a lot from her as Robbie inspired her to be more active in taking up production tasks as well. She made her concluding statement about cinema. She said working with the right people makes the job fun and she wanted people to feel hopeful about cinema.
