After years of speculation and setback, the Hollywood A-lister is finally back with his latest upcoming movie. Ever since the Oscar slap gate, there was a huge controversy over whether Will Smith will be able to put his infamous incident behind him and make a fresh start. Fortunately, he has, with a myriad of other big names in the industry having his back.

As we inch closer to the release date of Emancipation, the star has started to increase the hype around the same. While fans have already gone impatient, stars like Rihanna and Dave Chappelle have joined the fandom. Here is what they quipped in as a token of support for Smith’s upcoming movie.

Stars on attending Emancipation preview starring Will Smith

During his latest screening of the movie, Will Smith had Rihanna and Dave Chappelle joining him on the set. This came to the public discourse when the star took to Instagram to share a picture of the same. All of them looked in great spirits celebrating the movie’s preview, as Smith wrote, “EPIC night!!, Thanx for coming to see #Emancipation. Hope y’all enjoyed it!!”

Stars who attended the same posted their gratitude and excitement of the same in their respective Instagram handles. While Perry wrote, “I’m still haunted by Emancipation”, Barris captioned “Emancipation is true art,” thanking Smith for the preview. As per sources, the movie is all set for its theatrical release on the 2nd of December. It will reach our screens exclusively on Apple TV on December 9th.

For context, Will is banned from the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences for ten years. This was owing to his infamous Oscar incident earlier this year. This means the star will not be allowed to step in for any Oscar awards for any work until 2032. The incident proved to have deeply affected his popularity as sources read. Nevertheless, the star marches unhindered.
