Eddie Murphy Advises Aspiring Actors to Keep Will Smith’s Wife’s Name Out of Their F***Ing Mouth if They Want to Make It Big
The slap gate incident is now almost a year old, and yet people are finding new reasons to bring it up whether to reprimand the actions of Will Smith or make fun of it. Eddie Murphy for instance brought it up at the 2023 Golden Globes to poke fun at the incident that took over every other outlet last year.
The actor-comedian who has starred in several acclaimed projects over his long-spanning career was honored with the prestigious Cecile B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes. In his acceptance speech, instead of making it a usual speech about people that contributed to his success, he added a bit of spice. Murphy had some really great advice for younger actors who are yet to make it to the top!

Eddie Murphy cracks an unexpected joke about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars
The My Name Is Dolemite star sneaked in a joke about the Oscars Slapgate during his acceptance speech. He told the actors to pay their taxes on time, and to not get involved in others’ business. Additionally, he warned them to never try rolling Jada Pinkett Smith’s name off their tongues. The 61-year-old asserted that this blueprint worked for him hundred percent to become the Hollywood bigwig. “It’s very simple, just do these three things: Pay your taxes, mind your business — and keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out your f—ing mouth!” he joked as mentioned by People.
For the unversed, Chris Rock was hosting the Oscars 2022 when he made a joke about Jada Pinkett’s alopecia. Will Smith had then, in a fit of rage, approached the comedian and slapped him. Before things got physical, the Independence Day star had warned the comedian not to go any further with the joke and to stop taking his wife’s name.
