After a long wait, The Flash season 8 is finally coming to Netflix. The series is based on the DC comic book that traces Barry Allen’s aka The Flash’s origin story, which had quite a rough patch in the last few years. Season 6 was cut short; there were production delays, and in season 7, however, The Flash continued to serve the hungry DC fans. Before you settle down for a binge session, here’s a little recap to help get you up to date on the events that took place last season.
The Flash season 7 recap
Last season started with a significant clash between Godspeed and The Flash. Barry pays a visit to August Heart’s mind to stop him from becoming Godspeed. He tells him his true intentions: He wants organic speed. Barry refused to give him that and teamed up with Jay Garrick, daughter Noa, and son Bart. Also in the mix is Barry’s wife Iris and Cisco/Mecha-Vibe to fight Godspeed and his clones. However, the team couldn’t stand up against Godspeed. Barry unknowingly used Heart’s speed force connection to jumpstart his memory, but that led to Heart gaining organic speed and absorbing the power of his clones.

With no choice, Barry joins hands with Eobard Thawne (Reverse Flash), his mother’s murderer. Thawne managed to drive a blade through Heart, and they ended up winning the fight. But immediately after Thawne goes after Barry but realises that Barry is faster now, he gives up and runs into the night.
After the significant catastrophe is averted, Barry and Iris renew their vows at Joe’s place. To the delight of the fans, Joe and Cecile also make things official. Meanwhile, Kristen Kramer is revealed to be a meta. She has the power to copy the power of any nearby meta.
