A right mixture of fun, spooks, action, and good old friendships, Stranger Things has become a second home to many. We have spent almost a decade crying and laughing with the gory technicolor delight. And you know what sets the series apart? Not its unique set of characters, not the plethora of pop-culture references, but its ability to give fans something new every time they go back to horror fiction. One such mind-boggling detail many might have missed is about the younger version of Max Mayfield AKA Sadie Sink in the third season.
Back in Stranger Things 3, Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven took us to Billy’s (Max’s elder cousin) glorious past into his California memory. Through her lens, Eleven shows spectators that who is now a bully was once a happy child enjoying his days at a California beach along with his mother. However, with a negative turn of events, she saw his abusive father, and his mother leaving the little child entirely on his own. In the same season, we saw a little girl being introduced to Billy by his father.

When Eleven was exploring Billy’s memory, in episode 6 of Stranger Things 3, she saw his father introducing him to his step-sister, Max under the dark oracle of deadly clouds. A good deal of fans may think that it was a young iteration of the actress herself but in reality, they cast Sadie Sink’s younger sibling, Jacey Sink, to play the role. If you did not notice her back then, here is a snapshot to remind you of the scene.
While only her hair and face shape was visible, the young girl standing there was none other than Sink’s own sibling. Notably, in the fourth season, when MBB visit’s Max’s own memory, the role is played by Belle Henry. Perhaps, it is because Jacey Sink was already 11 years old by then. You can stream both seasons on Netflix to catch up with such minor details.
