Why were Ryan Gosling and The Big Shot star cast non glamorous in the movie?
Back in 2015, the director and co-writer of The Big Shot spoke about why they made the star cast look ugly. In his promotional interview with Cinema Blend, Adam McKay stated that they created the looks so actors can look like common people. He said that the characters of the movie are not people who wear expensive clothes and keep sleek hair.
“These are the kind of slubby, off-beat kind of guys who, when you’re in a room with them, don’t make eye contact, or in the case of [Steve] Carell’s character, are loud and boisterous,” explained the filmmaker.

He continued that even if they tried to make them look handsome, it would have ruined the essence of the story. The whole point to was to bring an authentic comparison between the guys from the big banks and men from small firms. It was certainly shocking to see the hottest men alive, like Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt, not look hot.
However, as for now, the La La Land star is looking at breaking the internet with his blonde hair. Fans swooned over his smooth abs as he rocked the screen shirtless in low-waist jeans. The actor is playing the role of Ken in the live-action film based on Barbie dolls. The cast of the romantic comedy includes Margot Robbie, Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Ncuti Gatwa, Ariana Greenblatt, Emma Mackey, and Alexandra Shipp.
