A thrilling adventure of colossal proportions that dazzles the senses, while packing an emotional punch, the bombastic sequel of the 2009 Avatar movie was certainly worth the wait. Reuniting audiences with Jake Sully and Neytiri as they protect their young family and ageless traditions, the movie succeeds at continuing the breathtaking saga of Pandora. And at the heart of it is none other than the Australian actor Sam Worthington.

The 46-year-old actor notably rose to prominence, becoming a part of Hollywood’s A-list stars after his journey to the enchanted lands of Pandora. He later on also famously played Marcus Wright in Terminator Salvation and Perseus in Clash of the Titans and its sequel Wrath of the Titans. However, that is not all. While talking to the magazine, Sam Worthington shared with the interviewer that he was one of the finalists for the role of James Bond in Casino Royale along with Superman Henry Cavill and ER star Goran Visnjic. “I could play Bond as a killer, but I couldn’t get the debonair down for the life of me,” Worthington remembered. “The suit did not fit.” He further admitted he knew nothing about everything he was doing for the role.

Talking about the producers, the actor said they were extremely protective of the James Bond series. Just like the Avatar director, “they are so detailed and meticulous.” Furthermore, Sam Worthington also had a chance to play Green Lantern. He even had a meeting with the superhero film director but “It didn’t make much sense to me — the suit comes out of his skin?” the actor revealed to Variety. While he was not very enthusiastic about the superhero flick, the directors and producers tried to give him a better view of it. They showed him the most powerful weapon, but it was still “bizarre” to the actor.
