In the Hollywood music industry, megahit singers and celebrities always have each other’s back. As new young artists step into the limelight and gather controversies, the Queen of Pop makes it a point to back them all as much as she can. The Material Girl, Madonna of the era has always been a rock for Grammy magnet stars like her, such as Billie Eilish. 

Answering all trolls that were targeted at the 20-year-old star, Madonna once gave a pat on the back to Billie Eilish for whatever she has done. Getting accused of Queerbaiting to having an existential crisis in exploring her identity, Eilish has gone through all of it. In times of such outrage and backlashes, Madonna finally arrived at Eilish’s rescue from community hatred. 

Madonna defended Billie Eilish amidst trolls

As Eilish transitioned her looks for her latest album, Happier Than Ever, she had to encounter another slew of hate comments and sexist remarks. Addressing the same, in an interview with Elle magazine, Madonna boldly affirmed, “the problem is we still live in a very sexist world”.

The Godmother of the music industry continued further by sadly claiming that women are always put into categories. According to her, it is either the virgin category or the whore category that women belong to. Defending Eilish she elaborated how Billie Eilish started in a completely neutral category between the two.

Neither did she pander to the masses nor used her sexuality in any way, said the star. “…God bless her for that,” said Madonna about Eilish before concluding. Further exploring the discussion she lastly explained that Billie Eilish has just been a teenager all this time. 

In an Apple interview, the current sensation of pop culture opened up on how she battled her way through all of the allegations. Eilish and her choice of dresses she wore were always the hot topics of the town. Although the star never fails to slay her top-tier masculine ensemble, she sometimes wishes to go the complete opposite. Hence defying all norms of the chauvinistic society, Eilish has continued to grow further with her wishes. And now it would not be incorrect of us to say that she has a strong backup behind her.
