Being a Duchess and a part of the royal family has made Meghan Markle one of the most famous women in the world. Before her marriage to Prince Harry, she was known for her role in the famous television drama Suits. Her father, Thomas Markle, is a retired lighting director and director of photography. Thus, it is no wonder that Markle spent her entire childhood on different television sets.

However, many are not aware of the fact that Meghan’s journey in the film fraternity has been full of ups and downs. The actress made a cameo in a handful of big shows and series before finally landing her career’s biggest break in the form of Suits. Meanwhile, it might surprise you to know Duchess was also a part of the famous game show Deal or no Deal. 

Meghan Markle once reflected on her role in Deal or no Deal

Many might have not noticed Meghan Markle’s presence on the hit show years back. The California-based star reflected on her role in the game show in a 2013 interview with Esquire. She revealed that being a part of Deal or no Deal was luck by chance. She was auditioning for various roles at the beginning of her career to make the ends meet. 

This was when the actress landed a gig for the game show. It was a tough experience for Meghan but it helped her understand what she want to do further in her career. What made matters worse for the Duchess is the fact that she could never hold the lucky case. 

“Definitely working on Deal or No Deal was a learning experience. I would end up standing up there forever in these terribly uncomfortable and inexpensive five-inch heels just waiting for someone to pick my number so I could go and sit down,” Meghan mentioned. 

Meghan’s acting career is now a thing of the past. Meghan Markle left her acting career following her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018. Despite stepping down as a working royal, the Sussex woman has no plans to return to it.
