Nicole Kidman proved her generosity through a big gesture. The actress has been a long-time friend of Hugh Jackman and both celebrities have grown tremendously in the industry through the years. Both are the most famous Australian actors: Kidman was born in Hawaii to Australian parents, while Jackman is from Sydney. They even starred as the lead characters in the 2008 movie Australia.

Jackman recently made use of a comeback as Wolverine in Deadpool, while also managing a play on the side. His broadway play, The Music Man will be performing until January and is making up to $2-3 million every week that they perform. They are also giving a chunk of their profits to charity. But when Kidman raised her price during the play’s charity auction, it left everyone shocked.

Celebrities are known for their generosity and for giving money to charities. But Nicole Kidman’s gesture set new standards, even for celebrities. She bid a whopping $100,000 for Hugh Jackman’s hat after the latter’s performance for his musical, The Music Man. The auction was held for the charity Broadway Cares’ Equity Fights Aids. Her announcement left everyone shocked, while Jackman jokingly reminded her that these are not Australian dollars.

The Eyes Wide Shut actress replied, “I love you. I love Broadway. And I love what they do, Broadway Cares, But I also want to say this show is extraordinary.” The performance took place in Winter Garden Theater, where The Music Man star reciprocated by saying, “You’re a beautiful person. I love you. Thank you for your generosity.” He referred to Nicole as ‘Nick’ and revealed how he has known her for 30 years and is well aware of what a beautiful soul she is.
