Meghan Markle has experienced a turbulent life since the very beginning. Amidst all the highs and lows, there is one person who has been there for Markle, her mother Doria Ragland. The American social worker was the only parent available for her daughter during Meghan’s grand wedding with Prince Harry in 2018. 

Doria was a constant support for Meghan Markle when she was pregnant in Archie. The yoga instructor traveled to the United Kingdom almost two months before Archie’s birth to be with her daughter. Doria resided in one of the quarters at Frogmore Castle and allegedly took grandparent lessons when her daughter was expecting Archie.

Doria enrolled in grandparent lessons for Archie 

It might surprise you that to be of utmost help to Meghan Markle, Doria took special classes. Ahead of Archie’s birth in May 2019, the social worker joined the famous Cradle Company classes by Brandi Jordan to prepare herself to be the best grandmother. Brandi is one of the most famous teachers out there. She has helped the likes of Julia Stiles, Megan Fox, and Rosamund Pike. 

With Brandi being such a big name, Doria had to shell out a huge amount of money. As per Hello, Meghan Markle’s mother paid a whopping $5.5K (£5,000) for grandparent lessons. 

Speaking about her new student in 2019, Brandi told Daily Mail, “Some mothers want to forge their own path, and don’t want grandmother to take a strong role in their parenting philosophy; others find strength in grandma and lean on her to encourage, nurture and help them.”

Meghan Markle has immense faith in her mother

The trust between Meghan and Doria was recently reflected after Queen’s demise. Harry and Meghan were in the United Kingdom for over two weeks to be with the royal family and pay their respect to the late monarch. However, the couple decided against flying their two children, Archie and Lilibet, to London. The former actress left her kids in the care of their grandmother in the home in California.
