One could say that The British Royal Family and the House of Windsor exist in an ecosystem of their own. They have their own set of rules and guidelines that all the members are expected to follow to a T. Nevertheless, even before the much-talked-about “Megxit”, Meghan Markle was always her own person. From the way she sat to the designer she chose for her outfits, there are many protocols that the Lady Sussex bent.

Meghan Markle prompts Americans to cast their vote

According to the royal protocol, members of the eminent family are not supposed to engage in any form of politics. The precedent even calls for the royals specifically to avoid political commentary. However, this election time, Meghan Markle exercised her right to vote. This was confirmed on Archewell Foundation’s official website, wherein they uploaded a picture of Markle flaunting an “I Voted” sticker.

The webpage even has a short message asking Americans to cast their votes. Accompanying the statement was a list of tips like having “the right ID to vote“, researching on the ballot, etc, for voters. It also had attached links to other helpful voting sites. In fact, one could even “Text ARCHEWELL” on the number provided and get help with finding one’s polling station.

“Archewell Foundation believes in the importance of civic participation, no matter who you vote for. Voting matters because it affects your friends, family, and communities. We all have a voice, and this is one key way to use it and help shape our future,” read the Website on October 28. It urged the people to vote early.

This is not the first time the Duchess of Sussex cast her vote. In 2020, she became the only modern Royal to participate in the US elections. Prince Harry, on the other hand, has never taken part in any election in the UK.
