With the press and media following the couple almost everywhere and scrutinizing their every move, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did some crazy and unimaginable things to escape the limelight for a while. The royal author Valentine Low has made a serious claim regarding the birth of Harry and Meghan’s first child Archie in his upcoming book Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown.
Meghan Markle lied to the press?
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their first child in May 2018. The former actress was very particular about not having journalists and photographers gather outside the hospital while she was in the labour. Thus, the official statement by Buckingham Palace about the Duchess of Sussex going into labor was false. They released the statement a few hours after the couple had already welcomed Archie into the world.
“When Archie was due in May, Meghan was determined to avoid the indignity of a royal birth with journalists camped outside the hospital. The palace put out a statement saying that the duchess had gone into labor, only for it to emerge later than she had, in fact, given birth some eight hours before,” Low has written in her book as per The Times.

Further in his book, Low has also made serious claims about Harry and Meghan Markle’s personal secretary. Just before the birth of their first child, the couple appointed a new secretary in the form of Fiona Mcilwham. She succeeded Sam Cohen, who was extremely happy to be passing on her duties.
Low mentioned that Cohen was delighted while handing her resignation, as she could not bear Harry and Meghan any longer. A source told the royal author how the secretary was miserable, as she termed the Sussex royals as teenagers who pushed her to the limit and were impossible to work with. According to the author, Fiona also found it hard to be the Sussex royals.
