Meghan Markle made a big sacrifice in the form of her acting career to marry Prince Harry. The 41-year-old left her famous show Suits after season seven to relocate to the United Kingdom. Meghan was a part of the hit legal drama from 2011 to 2018 while she tied the knot with the royal prince on May 19, 2018, at St George’s Chapel. 

As it turns out, acting is not the only thing that Meghan Markle gave up due to her love for Harry. Spotify released the seventh episode of Meghan’s podcast Archetypes titled Upending the Angry Black Women Myth with Issa Rae and Ziwe. During her interaction with the guests, the Suits alum revealed one important ritual that she gave up after becoming a part of Britain’s royal family.

Meghan Markle reveals the thing she left upon her arrival in the UK

During her acting days, Meghan Markle loved coffee like anything. Just like many other coffee lovers across the globe, drinking coffee was like a ritual for the former actress. However, she gave up on her love for caffeine in 2018 after marrying Prince Harry. “When I was on set, of course, like Nespresso all day, every day. But then I didn’t drink it in the UK — I didn’t think about it,” Meghan revealed on her podcast.

Issa Rae seemed surprised at the revelation by the Duchess as she described her love for coffee. However, further, in the interaction, the Sussex royal mentioned that she started having coffee again following her arrival in the United States. Her reasoning for the restart of her ritual is how life returned to how it was before. Thus, now when she has guests over or when she is in a meeting, she is more likely to join them for a coffee. 

Harry and Meghan stepped down as working royals over two years back and left the Windsor Castle to build a home in California. Though Meghan has reunited with her love of coffee, she is in no mood to restart her acting career that she dropped due to the royal protocols.
