After giving up their duties towards their UK sovereigns, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have not been able to spend much time with the Royal family. Although during their initial years of marriage they did their best to adjust with the core members, they have now distanced themselves from the Palace. The entire world witnessed grandson Harry’s deep-seated love for his grandmother when he forgot all disputes and rushed into the palace upon hearing the sad demise of the Queen. The sidelined couple regardless of their perilous days at the Palace stood in solidarity with the devastated family. Sadly, the Queen was deprived of the same. As per reports, she could not get the chance to see Harry’s and Meghan’s immense love and respect for her.

Reports deny any invitations from the Queen to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry 

As reported by Vanity Fair‘s Royal correspondent, Kate Nicholl, certain actions by Harry and Meghan came unexpected for the royals. It took them farther away from their already distant family. Especially the Queen was reportedly “hurt” on certain occasions when the pair did not turn up according to her invites.

Experts said, “it is important to stress that there were times where she (The Queen) felt quite let down by Harry and Meghan and quite disappointed by them.” Despite the family rifts, the Queen was still hoping to see her grandchildren at weekends on a sort of sleepover.

Nevertheless, all of it should be taken with a pinch of salt. The reason being, although many reports claimed that the Queen invited the couple for her Balmoral retreat, nothing of the sort had happened. Later more authentic sources confirmed that the sidelined working Royals did not receive any such invitation.

But, indeed, the Windsors were still willing to support the couple. Even if they financially stepped down as senior royals without their knowledge. However, their further actions hard-pressed the already strained relationships within the family. The couple stood their ground and continued with their life in the States away from the kingdom’s fiasco.
