“Circus of speculation”, More Than 40000 Tori Lanez Fans File Petition to Over Turn His Conviction in Shooting Case With Megan Thee Stallion

Tori Lanez’s troops are fighting against his conviction. In July 2020, Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion had an altercation wherein she criticized his musical talents. Following this, he shot her in her foot, which required surgery for removing fragments of the bullet. The whole ordeal took place after they left Kylie Jenner’s pool party in her Los Angeles home.

The case went on for a couple of years until the Canadian-born rapper was convicted of the crime. The world of the internet celebrated and appreciated Stallion for standing up for her rights as a black woman. But Tory Lanez’s fans are criticizing the trial and its verdict.

Tory Lanez’s 40000+ fans defend him in his conviction against Megan Thee Stallion

While everyone applauds Megan Thee Stallion and her victory in the criminal case against Tory Lanez, some feel that the latter did not face a fair trial. As per Shaderoom, a Chane.org petition was started to collect support for overturning the conviction of Lanez. The petition read, “The trial was a circus of speculation, insufficient evidence, inconsistencies, and drunken memories that left us without much more certain of any truth.” The petition also mentioned big stars like Jay Z and stated how stars like him had a hand in conspiring against the young rapper. The petition’s creator went to the height of claiming that Lanez was used as a sacrificial lamb to “fake protect” Black women.

Despite the verdict coming more than two years after the judgment, the supporters of the LA Confidential singer feel that the case was rushed. While the efforts are strong, it is highly unlikely that the court will reopen this case now. As per reports, the rapper could face up to 22 years in prison and be deported from America for good.
