As one could imagine, Arnold Schwarzenegger likes to smoke a cigar for some big celebrations. So when the Austrian was blessed with his granddaughter Eloise Christian Schwarzenegger Pratt, he wanted his son-in-law to join in on the fun as well. But Chris Pratt revealed during an interview with Jimmy Fallon that, “There’s peer pressure, and then there’s Arnold Schwarzenegger pressure.”

The Predator actor taught the new father to smoke by asking him to join along. But Pratt is an asthma patient who did not have the heart or the guts to say no to him. He went ahead and smoked it anyway, even after his wife tried to interfere. The actor’s mission of smoking along was accomplished but at a price. He woke up to a heavy lung infection the next day.

But despite the incident, Pratt put the words carefully and in admiration, as he shares a close bond with the former bodybuilder.

The Passengers actor was dating Schwarzenegger’s daughter and was well aware of his father-in-law’s fitness. They even worked out at the gym together and got along well. Considering the Austrian actor’s traditional and family beliefs, Pratt asked him for permission to ask him for his daughter’s hand in marriage before going ahead with the decision. Even the Twins actor admired his son-in-law for being a kind and great human.
