The entertainment industry has often given some of the best collaborative pairs. From Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman to Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, such pairs were always meant to shine together. A similar coincidence happened with the stellar cast of Netflix’s live-action crown jewel, One Piece. The massively popular series featured some of the most spectacular acting performances, hence its success.

The 59-year-old English actor graced the screens with the trademark mustache of Chef Zeff. The captain of the Cook Pirates, the actor, embodied his character to perfection, which directly resulted in One Piece’s record-breaking success. In the show, Zeff bid a tearful adieu to Sanji from Baratie, the floating restaurant. However, in reality, Taz Skylar and Fairbrass had already met before on different projects. In his latest tweet, the latter pointed out his “Third time working with this young powerhouse.”

The actors have acted in two productions before, with one being a stage play. They first crossed paths in Warheads, a 2019 play, at the Park Theatre in London. Following it in 2020, the duo paired up again for the UK thriller Villain. In his tweet, Fairbrass further added that Skylar “was a star the moment I met him”. The actor’s photo came on the characters’ “goodbye day” or when Chef Zeff let Sanji join the Straw Hat Pirates.

An unprecedented scale of world expansion awaits Monkey D. Luffy and his crew as the Netflix hit is set to make an even bigger return for its next season. Iñaki Godoy, along with his entire cast of the Pirates, including Taz Skylar’s Sanji, will reprise their roles. However, it is unclear if Craig Fairbrass is to return as Chef Zeff, although a possibility does exist. Moreover, the second run of the hit show will have further additions to its star cast.

After a video announcement by Eiichiro Oda, it is clear that would once again hold the reins of creative vision for the second season. The show is likely to head into and explore the Arabasta saga and introduce the character of Vivi. Moreover, the human-reindeer hybrid, Tony Tony Chopper, is also set to make his debut. Finally, Hollywood stalwart Jamie Lee Curtis is also poised to helm Dr. Kureha’s character. There is no dearth of either the source material or a shining cast.
