Netflix not only holds the title of being an OTT Mogul, but after the Academy Awards 2023, it might become home to the most Oscar-winning movies. Netflix has over the past years actively invested in projects that would otherwise be stuck in developmental hell and given way to cinematic gold. The gruesome yet beautiful World War I flick, All Quiet on the Western Front, is a testament to this. Despite spending only a limited time at the theatres, the Edward Berger movie has emerged as one of the most nominated movies at the Oscars.
All Quiet on the Western Front stands tall among the Best Picture nominees. However, it is not the only movie from Netflix that is being noted for its excellence at the Oscars. The OTT Mogul has four gems that are likely to bring home gold at the 2023 Academy Awards.
Which Netflix movie can win at the Academy Awards in 2023?
1. All Quiet on the Western Front
The anti-war flick has transcended borders and moved hearts with its brilliant storytelling. It was only right that it got its due recognition. Berger’s masterpiece has been nominated for Best Picture, Best International Feature, Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Original Score, and finally Best sound at the Academy Awards 2023. And the masses will agree that All Quiet on the Western Front deserves an award in every single one of these categories.

However, there is a hint of doubt about the movie winning Best Picture at Oscars 2023 owing to the odds being in Everywhere Everything All at Once‘s favor this season. But for its brilliant adaption of the Erich Maria Remarque novel, it gets an easy slide for the Best Adaption category.
2. Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio
The umpteenth adaptation of the cherished children’s folklore Pinocchio managed to knock the breath out of viewers owing to the beauty of its animation. Guillermo Del Toro put his genius to work and brought stop-motion animation to its finest shape through this movie. That Pinocchio has been a passion project of the director does not need to be said, as it is clearly understood through the attention to detail and brilliance that each set is woven with.

It stands as the most powerful contender in the Best Animated Feature Film category at the Academy Awards 2023. Pinocchio may lie, but the Oscar nominations do not. Netflix pulled the movie out of the years of developmental hell that it had suffered. Will its good karma come in the shape of a Best Animated Feature Film Oscar?
3. Glass Onion: A Knives Out mystery

Owing to its original, creative, and hilarious screenplay, the movie earned a spot among the most-watched Netflix movies of all time in a jiffy. It stands in the Best Adapted screenplay nominations.

The flick premiered at the 79th Venice International Film Festival to a standing ovation. While many had a bone to pick with the screenplay and sexualization of the beloved starlet yet again, Ana de Armas had everyone smitten with her performance.
