Now, the air of criticism has turned towards the streaming giant.

Meghan and Harry put Netflix in trouble

There are so many talks now about Meghan and Harry’s $100 million deal with Netflix, Spotify and Penguin Random House. Netflix expected to have some quality content from the Sussexes soon, but they failed to provide the materials.

The steaming giant is now receiving criticism from Britons as the company has signed a huge deal with the couple. Since the entire world has seen Prince Harry and Meghan Markle getting boos from the crowd, the bosses of the companies also want the answers from the couple.

But people are criticizing Netflix. The users of Express.co.uk struck attacks on Netflix for not recognizing the fact that the deal would be a huge loss for them. The chiefs didn’t have a foreseeing vision. Moreover, they feel that Meghan and Harry’s disapproval would be obvious “if they had that their ears to the ground.” 

The couple’s popularity among the Britons seems to have dropped. They expressed their dislike for the Sussexes openly. While expressing their displeasure, they picked on things they didn’t like the couple for. For instance, a commonly raised point was Harry and Meghan’s preach about living and having a low carbon footprint. Their private jet is said to have exceeded its carbon footprint ten times over their own recommendation. Listing such examples, some of them said that the reactions that the couple garnered shouldn’t surprise Netflix, given the recent falling popularity rates.

Some fans also call the deal that the streamer has with the couple is a loss-making investment. If they would cut the couple loose now, they might lose less money than they would if they kept the deal. Another one favored the Royal Family and justified the mixed reception. “They were booed because they hurt out Queen, a woman that has served our country for over 70 years, shameful behaviour,” the comment said. The royal commentator also spoke about the reception of the couple, calling it a “big shock,” considering the reception royals generally receive.
