Netflix can be credited for giving break-out roles to several never seen before actors like Millie Bobby Brown, and Katherine Longford, to name a few. But they have also given fame to slightly older actors like Nicola Coughlan from Bridgerton, and Derry Girls. And Aimee Lou Wood from Sex Education.

Now, Nicola and Aimee will be bringing their comedic wits to the larger screen in a dark-comedy film, Seize Them! and we are all for it.

Bridgerton and Sex Education actors in a new movie

The new female-led comedy film has started principal photography in UK locations from Monday. The historical comic film revolves around a revolt headed by Humble Joan, who topples Queen Dagan. The Queen becomes a wanted fugitive in her own country, with a large reward on her head.

Queen Dagan must confront hardship and danger as she begins on a journey to reclaim her throne with the assistance of Shulmay, a former servant with many secrets, and Bobik, a shit-shoveller, who wants more out of life.

We will be seeing Nicola Coughlan playing Humble Joan the revolt. Aimee Lou Wood will be playing the role of the queen, with Lolly Adefope as the servant Shumlay and extremely hilarious Nick Frost as Bobik.

Damian Jones (Absolutely Fabulous The Movie) and Matthew James Wilkinson (Yesterday) are producers of the film. Jones and Mathew will be joined by Nigel Green, Jack Webb, Sophie Meyer, Paul Grindey, and Andy Riley as executive producers.

Curtis Vowell (Baby Done, Fantail) directs the film, and Andy Riley (Veep, Ron’s Gone Wrong) is the writer.

While talking about the film, Jones displayed his excitement by saying how excited he was to be working with some of the funniest actresses around.

“Backed by one of the best distributors in the UK in Nigel Green and EFD we feel privileged to be bringing this project to the big screen,” said the producer while talking about how happy he is to be a part of the film.

Seize Them! will be filming for over six weeks in Kent and Wales.
