At 15, Billie Eilish posted ‘Ocean Eyes‘ on SoundCloud, and at 17, she was belting out the lyrics to the same song in her iconic green pigtails to a sea of fans at Lowlands Festival in 2019. Eilish with her deeply touching lyrics, fashion statements, awareness, and connection with fans is truly what it means to be a pop star in this day and age. Since her last show at the Lowlands Festival, the Bad Guy singer is now an Oscar-winning one, which is why the announcement of Eilish headlining the mega music festival is such big news. She will be performing in the Alpha tent with three other enigmatic female music artists, marking the first time ever since its beginning in 1967.

Billie Eilish will have the Alpha tent for her performance

For the unversed, Lowlands Festival is one of the biggest music festivals every year, attracting over 55,000 thousand visitors. The stages are located inside tents in case something goes wrong with the weather. And the Alpha tent, being one of the largest, matches the size of a football pitch, exactly where a mega pop star like Billie Eilish should be performing. The Oscar-winning singer released her last studio album in 2021, which went on to get major acclaim.

While the newly turned 21-year-old singer did not release any new music last year, she was still pretty busy collecting the achievements that her 2021 album made.
