Billie Eilish has been in the news for quite some time now. The 20-year-old singer is usually in the news because of her new releases or the cute posts she makes about her daily life on social media. However, for the past few months, she has been in the news because of her dating rumors with Jesse Rutherford, who is 11 years older than her. She was harshly trolled for it.

But recently it was revealed that she once received the advice of a senior and a very famous singer on how to handle the pressures of fame. The best part is that she is a Spice Girl. It is none other than the “Sporty Spice,” Melanie C.

What was Melanie’s advice to Billie Eilish?

The Spice Girls have been a great source of inspiration for millions of girls. And not just girls; this band and its members have influenced millions of people with their songs and words. One of the former members, Melanie C, has openly discussed how her battle with her problems was exacerbated by her worldwide popularity. She does that in the hopes of encouraging others. However, she does not know how many people have been affected by her words, but she knows one person who has certainly taken her advice: Billie Eilish.

The 48-year-old singer told Music Week, “I’ve spoken to Billie [Eilish] about the pressures.” She further added that generally she avoids speaking to young artists about her experiences because she thinks they will tell her, “Shut up Grandma.” But in the case of Billie, Mel C was happy that the Bad Guy singer spoke frankly about her problems with her and also took her advice.

Sporty Spice also thinks that what will change the industry is young artists like Billie talking about things like these. She is happy that the industry is changing in a good way today, as certain record companies and management teams are treating their musicians’ emotional and physical health more seriously. Melanie shares how in the 90s, when she was at her peak, this was nonexistent.

Today, to focus on their mental or physical health, several musicians are canceling performances. At her time, doing so was completely out of the question.

She is happy about this positive change in the industry and believes that with time, things will get better.
