Ariana Grande Talks About Her Character Riley Bina in Don’t Look Up
‘Don’t Look Up’ is a star-studded fantasy drama streaming on Netflix. The movie premiered on Netflix on 5th December 2021 and proves to be an instant hit with the fans. With the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Ariana Grande, etc., ‘Don’t Look Up’ is entertaining on a lot of levels. When you search for the genre of the movie on Google, you get comedy, fantasy, science fiction, dark comedy, drama, political satire, and disaster. Well, I don’t think you need any more reasons to watch the film.

Along with the academy award winners and gems of the Hollywood industry, we have a Grammy winner in the movie too. Ariana Grande plays the role of a pop superstar, Riley Bina, in ‘Don’t Look Up’. The story starts with an astronomy grad student, Kate Dibiasky, making a discovery of a comet orbiting our solar system heading towards the earth.
Kate, played by Jennifer Lawrence, and her professor Dr. Randall Mindy, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, try their luck to convince the US government of the upcoming threat. However, the president, Meryl Streep, and her council do not take it seriously.
Ariana Grande’s exciting role in Don’t Look Up
Ariana Grande has quite a charming and hilarious role in the movie. With raunchy humor and a teenage pop star attitude, she rules the screen when she arrives. Furthermore, she also performs at an awareness concert about the incoming comet. Riley Bina delivers an incredible performance of the debut song ‘Just Look Up’ in the film.

Ariana Grande has also shared that she was excited about working in an Adam McKay film as she considers him as one of her favorite comedy directors. “Adam’s one of my comedy heroes, and I was jumping out of my skin when he pitched me the idea of playing this pop star who’s kind of in this yucky tabloid frenzy. Playing this little part and getting to work with Adam and this beyond incredible cast was such a special experience,” said the 28 yrs old heartthrob. McKay also took to social media to praise the pop star, “It made sense to have the biggest pop star in the world play the biggest pop star in the world,” said McKay.
